The School

 

      The Scout Ranger Training School (SRTS) is almost synonymous with the FSRR itself. The school is the one responsible for the processing, training and educating the students, both from the FSRR and other units, to become highly skilled, exceptionally strong and hard hitting Scout Ranger warriors. All Scout Rangers has only one thing in common: They all pass through the walls of the Scout Ranger Training School. Aside from the regular Scout Ranger training, the school is also conducting other trainings such as the Scout Ranger Orientation Course, PTTC, theVisual Tracking Course and the Scout Sniper's Course.

      The School is headed by the Commandant and supported by his Coordinating Staff, Course Directors, the First Sergeant, Staff NCOs, Senior Tactical NCOs and Assistant Instructors or recently termed/known as the Ranger Instructors.

 

      The Assistant Instructors or Ranger Instructors are very crucial in the conduct of all the trainings in the school. They are the one's tasked to provide focused supervision to the conduct of classes, practical exercises, routine formations, physical fitness activities and most importantly, evaluating the performance and skill level of each students. They also supervise the conduct of remedial instructions and activities to allow slow learners to cope up with the regular phasing of the courses.

 

The School is organized into the following:

  • Command Section â€“ It includes the Commandant, Sergeant Major, the First Sergeant, and its support personnel

  • Training Directorates â€“ It includes the Officers and Enlisted personnel tasked to conduct all the scheduled courses in the school.

  • Staff â€“ These are the Officers and Enliested Personnel tasked to provide the different Staff support of the school like Personnel, Intelligence, Operations, Logistics, Research & Development and Plans & Programs.

  • The Motorpol and Armory - They provide mobility, firepower, ammunition and other logistics requirement of the school.
